Monsters of Feyland 2 for 5th Edition

Created by Cawood Publishing

Feyland just got a lot stranger! 120 new monsters for your 5th Edition game.

Latest Updates from Our Project:

Thanks to 610 people we're funded!
almost 2 years ago – Sun, Jun 12, 2022 at 01:31:12 PM

What a wild ride! We've done nine Kickstarters now and that was something. Over 100 people joined the project over the last couple of days. Not only is the book funded, you've also unlocked two Stretch Goals! Thanks for backing us!

Stretch Goals

Monsters of Feyland 2 will have 20 extra monsters (up to 120 now) and a map for each of the seven regions. Travis Hanson will be doing the maps and they'll have more detail than the initial Feyland map. Although the Fey Bargain tables and PC subclasses weren't unlocked, we'll see if we can include those. We won't know an exact count of the books we will need for a few days. That cost will be a factor in considering how big the book can be.

What Next?

Kickstarter takes about 8 days or so to verify charges and finalize a few details. Then we'll know exact totals for the books we'll need to make. The Backerkit should be ready in a couple of weeks or so. That will give you some more options to add as rewards to your pledge. We'll also make up a schedule soon to send out the PDFs that are already ready.

Long Term

In the meantime, we'll get to work finishing the text and do some more playtesting. Editing is scheduled for July and we hope to pass the text to our Layout in mid to late July. The bulk of the art will be completed in the summer and fall. Then we have another round of layout and editing.

Thanks, Andrew and the team

Final 3 Days! Stretch Goals!
almost 2 years ago – Fri, Jun 10, 2022 at 04:58:50 PM

Hey there, we're coming into the final stretch. Here on the West Coast of Canada we still have most of Sunday, all Monday, and most of Tuesday to go. The project ends at 600pm PST/900pm EST on Tuesday.

We can still get the Stretch Goals! We hope a number of the hundreds of people signed up for the 48-hour alert will join us. That will go out around 6pm PST/9pm EST today.

almost 2 years ago – Fri, Jun 10, 2022 at 04:58:33 PM

We had a big day today. 10% of the backers have joined since the 48-hour alert went out! Thanks for coming on the ride! We'd love it if everyone could share the project far and wide! The Kickstarter funding phase ends at 6pm PST/9pm EST tomorrow.

Most importantly we've unlocked the first Stretch Goal. The book will now have 20 extra monsters, taking the total to 120!

Funded! 100% as of Friday morning
almost 2 years ago – Tue, Jun 07, 2022 at 03:15:07 PM

Thanks to everyone who has backed this book! We want to make something special here. A quick update now to celebrate this milestone and then more to come!

Woo-hoo!!!

Flying Centaur approves!

PC Subclasses

Think about what two subclasses you'd like to see in the book. We'd like to include those. We're leaning towards a wizard as we haven't done a subclass for them yet.

86% funded! 8 days to go!
almost 2 years ago – Thu, Jun 02, 2022 at 06:39:14 PM

Hey everyone, we're getting close. With 8 days to go, the Stretch Goals are still in sight. We'd especially like to add those extra 20 monsters to the book. Last time we even added a few bonus monsters and ended up with 123!

The Sugarwind Mountains

Feyland Lore

We briefly mentioned the seven regions of Feyland and have hinted at more of the world in the first Feyland book. Let's get into more detail:

  • Large Forest- Most of the left side of the map. This region borders the Material World. Many elves move back and forth from the elf kingdom into Feyland. Home to a number of the Seelie Court's agents and military. They have a few castles and many watchtowers here. However, shadowy forces are begging to emerge. Many plant creatures. Eternally in Spring
  • Sugarwind Mountains - Below the dragon icon on map. This is the region highlighted in the free downloadable booklet on the main page. We might tweak this a bit, but it's mostly finished.  A fierce struggle between the courts is underway here, the frontline of the war at the moment. Both courts have castles and watchtowers in this area and some arch fey have wilderness manors here. Eternally in Spring
  • Port Town - Middle left on map. A busy settlement on the edge of a large swamp and river. All kinds of creatures move through this town. Court spies, bounty hunters, rangers, spellcasters, rogues, adventurers, barkeeps, oddballs, goofballs, and really weird creatures. Market area, stores, strange inns, and many residences. Think of a stopping point before entering the wilderness. Eternally in Summer
  • The Great Tree - Center of the map. A massive tree home, headquarters of the good Seelie Court. This tree has halls, chambers, residences, and other areas connected by multiple rope bridges. King Oberon and Queen Titania live here. Home of the Seelie Court's main army. Eternally in Summer
  • Swamp area - Bottom left. Filled with giant fungi and all sorts of plants and beasts. The Frog Witch rules this region. The witch is building an immense underwater city. Eternally in Summer
  • Dark Lands - Middle right side of map. Home of the evil Unseelie Court and most of their army. They use a fortress that can levitate and move around the world. This area is covered in canyons in a barren landscape. A shadowy,  dangerous part of the world. The Queen of Darkness, the Skeleton King, and the Witch King live here. Eternally in Autumn
  • The Tower - Bottom right. An enormous tower in the center of a frozen labyrinth. Home to the Academy and the legendary Well of Dreams. The well has been corrupted by Thelonius Punk and the Unseelie Court has seized control of the Academy. Factions of the Unseelie Court now live here, including the Snow Queen, Frost Lord, and the Punks. Eternally in Winter
